The bike is pretty distinctive so please keep an eye out."It's not just a bike, it's an extension of my legs, its an extension of me," says Danielle Loizou-Lake of her custom-made bike, which was stolen in a brazen break-in in Perth's southern suburbs on Thursday morning.
Mrs Loizou-Lake, a mum of two girls aged five and three, suffered a spinal-cord injury in 2002 and now lives with partial paraplegia.
While she can walk, she has no movement below her knees. It took almost three years and close to $8000 to engineer her tricycle to fit it to her body and posture needs. As a family with only one car she said she was lost without it.
She said she had heard reports the bike was spotted near Spearwood's Phoenix Shopping Centre.
