Retro style wool jerseys - seeking Aust-based recommendations

Postby marc2131 » Sun Sep 25, 2016 10:45 am

Hi all
Am looking around for a retailer of generic woolen jerseys of old. Preferably looking for an Australian-based retailer.
Expect an order of around 40 units maybe more.
We got an earlier batch done about 2 years ago via an US Oregon retailer. It was a mistake as they took 11 months to fulfill the order. Not doing that mistake again.
Just looking for the generic red/black jersey. We can get the name and/or badges made or embroidered ourselves.
Looking for good quality, well priced retailer recommendations.

(Similar to the ones on the left and middle)

NZ company http://www.soigneur.co.nz/. I purchased one of their classic Italia jerseys and absolutely love the styling and fit. Highly recommended. They do custom stuff.

You know, Ibex do one of the rack which is kinda/ sort of/ maybe close to what you want.
http://shop.ibex.com/merino-wool-clothi ... s-full-zip ( look for the 7844 - Rhubarb)
not retro but very good kit which is well made and the fabric weight (both the shorts and tops) works all year round for Sydney riding. Not
But yes try Eleven Velo first, I still use some of the old LabGear stuff so will give what they do the big thumbs up.
If you do go down the road of a the short run of made ups give me a hoi and will see what I can put up out of China, India or Vietnam.

Have been meaning to check these guys out for a bit..

They make merino rugby tops, the fit looks a bit loose but looks like they might be open to customising

Marc
Not Australian based, but they have a variety of jersey styles.
http://www.3mcaverni.com/categoria-prod ... age/page/4 and following pages.

I plan on getting some with the front pockets. The years would appear to represent the decades that each style of jersey is appropriate for.

On some of the other pages they advise that they are very busy with the l'erocia, so there might be a delay in getting any replies. When I have contacted them in the past, they were very agreeable to customising the colours. And the prices seem very reasonable.

It might interest other members on here.
