If you can, take some better pictures - I think what stops a lot of people from committing to a buy is not knowing whether there are dents in the frame, and not knowing the true condition of the components - I can see that the headset is very rusted, I'd be worried that there would be more rust or damage not visible in those pictures.

Take it outside, use a decent camera or phone camera, and take as many as you can. You'll sell it eventually!

Point taken there are non dents in the frame and some surface rust around the plating centurions used where they painted over a chrome plate by the looks of thing .

I am going to do the unthinkable and use the centurion running gear on my miyata 1400a as it is my size and sell the centurion frame champion 1 so open to offers on frame and fork and seat post

LugNut speaks words of wisdom, sled.
Some indication of frame size wouldn't go astray either. Measure the seat & top tubes centre-to-centre.

Check out the price this frame apparently cost off the Deus street cred shop, $2279.99 and it's apparently made with Columbus Brain tubing. Ha, what a crock.

Anyone noticed this bike? It's made with Reynolds 753 and looks to have a C-Record group set and may have been a pro's bike. He's listed it about half a dozen times now and I wonder what history it might have? Shane Sutton rode for ANC-Halfords on Peugeots.

The team only existed from 1985-87 and only rode as ANC-Halfords in 86 & 87. No real successes & I can't imagine them being popular enough for someone to copy the bike down to the race number holder. Bit of a down under connection with Shane Sutton, Kvetoslav "Omar" Palov & Stephen Swart riding for the team in 87.

Frame size is not going to help identify whose bike it was

Curiously I have Omar's TDF wheels ...even won a race on them once..still ride them occassionally. So I presume it is not his bike??

Looks like the vintage bike market is exploding, supply and demand are driving the prices up...

This may be a bargain in Canberra but I can't see enough to tell whether it's a real one or not.

The Lemond looked like an Alpe d'Huez with Mirage gear - was tempted but am already at N-1 (theoretically I'm past it because I have one in the shed that I think the boss doesn't know about)

It's sold now so dilemma resolved!

Hmm, that "Racing Bike" might be worth a look though, a lugged mountain bike, just a bit small though.

Had one for a while as a teen in the early 1970s, and another in the mid-1980s. The first was metallic blue/white, the second metallic gold/white.

Both were single-speeders, and suffered badly for it. An SA 3-speed hub or a 3x2 derailleur setup, and they'd have been perfect(ish).

Other than that, a pleasant, if very different, bike to ride.
I don't care if it's a $20 Huffy or a $20k Colnago, as long as you're riding, and you're happy.

For those in Sydney - lots of goodies! Including an old Speedwell. Be quick stop the flippers!

I just wish this sort of thing came up for sale in Victoria (or at least near me) :(

The big silver bike is a DURBAN these where sold in Sutherland Sydney by Arthur Lyons. I had one when I was 15 I am not shore who built the frames. I had not seen any of these for years now 2 in the last 3 months there was a frame for sale at the Sydney but the seller wanted more than I was prepared to pay. It was a later model that the one I had with the later type decals

I like them too, mainly for their Austin connection, and noticed a Swiss-based one on ebay in April that had about 70 bids and was up
to over $5000 + with days remaining.

Friendly reminder that this is NOT the place to post links to your own auctions.

Here is the correct board for that.
