G'day Ducky,
Cyclomondo made me some replica decals from the original 'waterslide' ones that I got from Keith.
Now that he has the artwork done he can quickly produce more 8)
The quality is first rate.

Nice one. Love those fade paint jobs.

Took my Pegasus out for some good rides last week, and gee its a twitchy thing, feels far too quick and agile on the downhills and when riding no hands.

Did you ever work out what steel your tubes are?

I found remnants of a sticker with a name on the top tube so I looked it up on Facebook and sent the old owner email asking about the bike.
The bloke said that Keith built the bike for him in 93. The owner commuted and raced on it for 10 years until he retired it in 2003. It sat in his shed for 13 years before he decided to donate it to the tip shop. They initially refused it and made him dump on the scrap metal heap. They obviously changed their minds when they realised it was half decent.

Hi all. I am new to this site, this "society", and to the Forum. Keith Davis made two bikes for me in the early 1980's. The 531ST "tourer" I have long since sold; the road bike I still have and I am looking at fully refurbishing it as a retro-racer. Some questions. Is Keith still around/contactable? I do need to read all the entries in this thread, but it seems decals are a big issue. I am seeking a full set of both Reynolds 531C decals, plus the various"Pegasus" and "Made by Keith Davis" ones. I sent a message to Reynolds in the UK last year seeking replacement Reynolds decals from them, but never received a reply. Cheers

Welcome to the forum. You'll certainly get requests for a few pictures of your Pegasus from members. And me!

As for sourcing decals - for Reynolds 531C I would recommend 'Cyclomondo' who is an online seller (or via evilbay) based in Queensland. They are of very good quality. I believe he also makes Keith Davis/Pegasus ones as well.

Look forward to watching your restoration unfold - please keep us all posted!

Hi, I just assembled this Pegasus. I bought the frame with the cinelli hardware and added the campagnolo nine speed and mavic cosmic wheels. Beautiful work by Keith Davis. It has a Reynolds 753r tubeset and a cinelli "spoiler" bottom bracket shell.

Hello All Pegasus owners, I am restoring one of my fathers bikes, that Keith Davis built for him in the mid eighties, when they were both racing with the Canberra Old Boys club, ( Dad said it really stood for "Cunning Old Bastards" !)... Someone here , a while ago, said they were getting decals made for one they were restoring,... does anyone know were I can get some ?? All leads much appreciated. Regards.

Hi guys. I note some discussion a few years ago regarding replacement decals on Keith Davis bikes. I had two bikes made by Keith in the early 1980's. One that I still have I want to refurbish. I have managed to obtain 3 Reynolds 531C decals, but now want to find replacements for the 4 Pegasus decals. Are there any updated leads that anyone can give me to find replacements for these please? Many thanks.

Reviving a dead thread, but i'm looking around to see if there are any Pegasus bikes floating about. Just popped in to see a lovely Canberran fellow with a few of them (I am an ACT local) and would love to ride around here on an ACT made bike!

Welcome outside leekspin.

BTW the thread is not dead, it's resting. Probably pining for Lake Burley Giriffin.

Wakey wakey! Keith Davis Pegasus frame for sale in Victoria: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-Rey ... SwkXFb-nir

Pity the original paint is gone, but at least it hasn't been powdercoated.

Someone get it because it's my size and I'm very tempted.
