You need to read the whole thread Nashie.
Its a Kerry Hopkins - Columbus tubing

I’m quite certain it is a Kerry Hopkins. But it’s not necessarily Columbus. Fork tips and dropouts are Columbus branded(as with a lot of his frames), but Kerry could have used any tubing.

Brett, have you tried calling the shop and talking to Kerry?

Never owned a reynolds frames so havent taken much interest in them, but based on the obvious (sticker)....yes replaced, and frame weight Im putting my money on reynolds 653. Bit of reading and 653 post size can vary from 26.8-27.2 and 27mm isn't unusual. Frame weight is a very light 653 which sounds like were are mix of 753, 531 tubing. Not SLX and SL frames i have are all over 2kg frame only.

Your frames must be big then Nash - SL/ and SLX are, if I am not mistaken, usually sub 2Kg. From personal experience, my Rob Bailey SLX at 52cm = 1.9kg, my old man's Paconi 57cm SL at 1.85kg.

Big frames were (from what I can read) more commonly built out of SP, which is a heavier tubeset than SL and aimed at bigger frames.

The OP's frame also looks quite big to me though. Judging from the length of the head tube I'd estimate about a 62cm seat tube (C-T).

Hi Brett
Measure the seat tube from the centre of the bolt that holds the cranks and chainrings on, up the seat tube to the top collar where the seatpost sits.
The flat top tube which runs from the seatpost to the handlebar stem is measured from the centre of the tubing it butts into at each end.
You can google it .."how to measure a road bike"

59cm Clamont SLX 2.11kg, 56cm Colnago Super SL 2.08kg but does have chrome rear chain and seat stays so could be close to your Paconi less chrome. Not saying its not columbus, just very light. Be interesting to see what it turns out to be.

Is that centre to centre (C-C) or centre to top (C-T)?

Many people prefer to measure the seat tube C-T, but it doesn't really matter as long as you specify which it is.

Hi Brett, it's the same Reynolds 653 frame I have, I always thought it was a Hopkins build ;)

to me it looked my size of 23"

i have four bikes that are 23" seat tubes, but the head tubes vary in length from 5.5 - 6.5 inches
