Bike trainers for single speeds

Postby Baxter22 » Thu May 26, 2016 6:04 am

I've recently moved to orange nsw and am looking to buy a bike trainer to keep fitness up during the crappy weather times. What recommendations are out there for bike trainers for a bolt on rear axle wheel (state cycles contender)? All forms and prices open
Cheers

Axle nuts/bolt ends will work basically the same as the ends of an internal cam skewer. I've bolted up hub gear bikes and my kids' bikes to my trainer (Minoura something) with no issue.

You might want something with adjustable resistance though...

You mean something like https://www.tacx.com/onlineshop/accesso ... ssen-axles

Tacx sell seperately track nuts and through axles for their trainers

I'm using the Aldi one on my single speed. Works fine, it clamps onto the nuts just the same as a quick release. It's got 7 or so levels of magnetic resistance, it was 50 bucks?.
