They are SRAM Double-Tap Flat Bar Road 9 speed shifters.
I got mine from Bike24.net but when I went to get a second set they said they where no longer available. I see that they now only list the 10 sp shifters. At the time I was not available to locate 9 speed shifters anywhere else; that may have changed since.

Ah thanks Andrew I couldn't read the print on your image hence the question. I'm needing 9 speed but that gear is becoming like dinosaurs so now might be a chance to upgrade. Never had the need to look at 10 speed so it's all new to me just hope that 10 speed is as robust as 9 any thought from chit chat around you could offer?
I take it 10 speed cassettes still fit our old 9 speed hubs no change there as well as no change to the chairings?

I don't believe there is any issue with the cassettes but not 100% sure on the chain rings [that said I cannot think of any issues]. There will also be possible issues with the shifters etc but.}SkOrPn--7 wrote:Never had the need to look at 10 speed so it's all new to me just hope that 10 speed is as robust as 9 any thought from chit chat around you could offer?[/quote
I am not aware of any issues with recumbents or diamond frames and I have 10 speed on my roadie. All my other bikes but are 9 speed. If I was building from scratch now I would go 10 speed simply because it is becoming the norm

No compatibility problems with 10-sp. cassettes on 8/9-sp. hubs, or with chainrings. Things to match are cassette, shifter & chain (9-sp. chain runs roughly on 10-sp. cassette due to 10-sp. having narrower sprocket spacing; 10-sp. chain is correspondingly narrower). Additionally, you have SRAM/Shimano incompatibility to think about - the shifters & rear derailleurs have different leverage ratios (how much cable is pulled to achieve the required movement of the derailleur), so will only work within their own families. Other components mix fine.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Cheers guys I have since found out that I can use my spare 9 speed front derailleur saving some coin so I will now go 10 speed with the rest.
