Great news that Gareth Hanks (Trisled) broke the trike world record and is now the fastest Australian cyclist !

I thought Gareth with Completely Overzealous was right up there last year too but I cant seem to find him in the 2013 results for some reason.

He was the fastest trike last year too and set the first world record since it was a new category for trikes (multi tracks might be the official term). He has beaten his own wr this year.

What do you think of the drive by camera system? eek - talk about claustrophobic.

Hi

There were some very good bikes there this year and I was pootling around on the internet when the races were on. Have a look at
http://hptdelft.nl/en/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=58" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or

http://www.aerovelo.com/2014/06/26/aero ... gn-of-eta/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Very detailed and mind boggling stuff. Velox IV has a custom made epicyclic gear hidden away in a dished front wheel. A lot of work when you can just ask Mr. Schlumpf for the same thing built into a bottom bracket! The camera bike concept seems to have come of age since Matt Weaver started building them. With smartphones and associated cameras very readily available now the technology is a lot more accessible.

Jun Nogami's "Biking in a big City blog" http://jnyyz.wordpress.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; really covered the whole event well.

Regards
