WA riders

Who'd be up for a get together in Perth (sorry John) in the next couple of weeks?

Yes. A bit far away for me unless I start riding now.
Hope there is a good turn out.

I see another Velo coming to Perth shortly as soon
as the owner returns with it from the Netherlands.

Probably won't be back in time for the ride.

Hope there is a good turn out.

John

Me too :) I live opposite the Canning River shared path about 1km from the Roe Hwy. Happy to start or finish at my place or elsewhere, or just meet somewhere for a coffee.

Anybody interested meeting at the Cockburn Dome? I often ride there on Sundays.

Quite some way south for me, and hard to justify the time it would take to get there with my family. Any other options?

I might catch up with you at Cockburn in a couple of weeks Exadios, I'll get in touch via pm.

I gather some of the defunct WAHPV diehards may still be riding from Burswood toward Freo on Sunday mornings, but I've lost what contacts I had. So on Sunday my plan is to ride from my place to arrive at Canning Bridge at about 7am and head towards Burswood in the hope of coming across them, then returning to Canning Bridge and on toward Freo around the river for a trundle alone if I'm unlucky.

In the mean time I'm going to head up into the hills tomorrow morning for some fast fun (well down the hills anyway) if anyone is interested. Leaving at oh my god o'clock I plan to do 160km, but happy to revise if anyone is keen to join in.

I've started a group on the horrible Facebook - Perth Recumbent Riders - for locals to communicate with each other and new riders

Joeblake has ridden recumbents for years, he's normally found in the e-bike threads nowadays

I am definitely up for a gathering. Garland is selling a lot of trikes lately. Maye a meet and greet there and then a leisurely 10km ride around the river????

Hi,
Yes Garland does coffee on Saturday morning.
There are many cafes around the river too.

So Saturday the 18th it is then.

I reckon we get together at Garlands at 8am to meet and greet and then go for a trundle around the river.

I've spoken with Garlands and there is a coffee truck on site from about 8 to 9:30am. I've set up an event on the Perth Recumbent Riders group page on the Facebook.

cheers

An excellent turnout for yesterday's ride. 15 riders of various machines enjoyed the morning sunshine for a trundle around the bridges. Coffee and cake at Garlands afterwards and plenty of info sharing and investigation of others rides. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos.

Next ride listed for 9 July meeting in the carpark behind Garlands Cycleworks in South Perth at 9am. All riders welcome. More info at Perth Recumbent Riders Faceplant group or contact me!
