From the results this morning, great ride by Alaphillipe and Dan Martin , and Rigo the designated GC guy to lose time.

Not disagreeing with you Geeeeee (get it?? ). Just questioning the guilt by association angle.g-boaf wrote:You don't go spitting on other people - that's disgusting. I think many don't care about cycling but more interested in a day out drinking in the sun. They need to ban the smoke canisters and flags.stevenaaus wrote:Can someone explain to me the stupid spectator behaviour ? Ummmm, sorry. Can’t adequately explain that level of collective stupidity.stevenaaus wrote:Can someone explain to me the stupid spectator behaviour ? The Vuelta and Giro do crown control much better, but still it can be scary.
The booing of Sky is one thing, but spitting etc is just stoopid.
Just now hoping TD can pull out a rabbit !!!

Yeah - waving huge flags in a big crowd of people, with cyclists whirring past. What can go wrong ?NASHIE wrote:I think many don't care about cycling but more interested in a day out drinking in the sun. The sprint finish on Alpe d'huez just didn't look right. Take sky out of the picture and it would of been a great battle to watchfamilyguy wrote:https://cyclingtips.com/2018/07/today-a ... nt-thomas/

Problem is it is impossible to keep them at a safe distance.stevenaaus wrote: Yeah - waving huge flags in a big crowd of people, with cyclists whirring past. What can go wrong ?
The stages are massive, you can't have security people or barriers along every kilometre of the stage.

Only hope that TD can perform a miracle or some form of non-injurious disaster befalls Sky

The route into town has a very sharp, narrow corner right before the 1km marker. The road is nice and wide:
And then narrows considerably for this >90 degree turn:
I'll be out waving the Aussie flag this afternoon.

You’d think Moscon’s actions will only intensify it even more. His cream rises to the top.JPB wrote:Is the booing of Froome and Sky getting worse or just the microphones picking it up more?

If Sky had any credibility they would sack Moscon like they threatened to do last time - bet they don'tMichaelB wrote:You’d think Moscon’s actions will only intensify it even more. His cream rises to the top.

Odds are too short to make it meaningful.find_bruce wrote:If Sky had any credibility they would sack Moscon like they threatened to do last time - bet they don'tMichaelB wrote:You’d think Moscon’s actions will only intensify it even more. His cream rises to the top.
I'm sure t5here will be promises of transparency, etc, etc.
They might even suspend him from racing for a bit when he wasn't even down to race. That'll teach him ......
Mind you, whilst Moscon isn't THE key team dom, he's been doing quite a bit, so it's a big chink in their armour, and may spur on teams to have a collective go over the next few stages. Realistically, it's now or never

Indeed, 17 of the 22 teams are not French but it's only Sky that cops it. I wonder why?fat and old wrote:So with what? 5 stages to ride; in France; Brailsford plays the culture card? yeah, that’s the way to calm things down. What a moron. Lucky the Yates boys are Aussies or they’d cop it too
