Where to look for a nicked bike in Melbourne

Hi all, my girlfriend's and neighbour's bikes got nicked yesterday afternoon from our complex in Brunswick, Melbourne. Have spoken to the police, insurance isn't worth it for us (Reid Condor, excess more than the bike is worth!) but I thought I'd have a look about and see if I can get lucky. The neighbour's is worth 5x ours so I'm sure he'd like some help too.

Been looking on gumtree and ebay, are there any other sites we should look at? Also does anyone know of any places that deal in second hand bikes?

Apparently, some victims have found their bikes at Cash Converters stores.

Rightio, cheers. Will check out the closer ones tomorrow. I remember reading about a girl last year who found her stolen bike on gumtree, contacted the seller, went around and asked for a test ride then rode it home. Kinda hoping it'll turn up online so I can try it!

Pawnbrokers are also a good place to look, besides Cash Converters.

If the bike was pawned you probably won't see it for sale on the shop floor till the loan has expired, that could be a month or longer.
