help me find mavic spokes
Postby davehirst » Mon Dec 05, 2016 5:05 pm
I think they are 278 long or 215 between shoulders, silver in colour.
Wheel had maxtel s 6000 on it but not other identification (bar code 41001391).
I have broken one and found a replacement, but a few others look a bit dodgy.
I think they are early 2000 wheelset, do later models spokes fit.
seem rare as hens teeth.
thanks

you just need to match:
- spoke length
- hub end config. (straight pull, J bend)
- spoke gauge (thickness)
- round or bladed spoke body
- colour
can you salvage the nipples? if not, you'll need to order replacement nipples. you can get them off the same site, don't type "purchase nipples" into Google. the standard (external) nipples are easy - internal ones are a bit trickier but available.

Not with the majority of the Ksyrium series; the spokes are specific to the wheels.jules21 wrote:you don't need Mavic-branded spokes, surely? I've used these guys.

No. The nipples are integrated into the spoke assembly during manufacture.can you salvage the nipples? if not, you'll need to order replacement nipples.
I may have some suitable spokes at work; I'll have a dig through the Mavic file & see what I can find.

So, I've got 275mm (which measure about 280mm overall), but only in black, or 281.5, which measure 285mm overall, in both black and silver, but only have two of each.

I’m new to this forum stuff but it sounds like you may have the replacement spokes o require. Mavic Elite silver blade 284mm.
Are you able to help me with some of them?
Cheers, Pogo

,As they were not needed.
In the end I trolled all lbs I could find until I had enough to rebuild the wheel.
, I know there are a few local.where are you.
Some shops were $8.00 each, some were 15.
Don't want to buy proprietary spokes ever again.

Hi Pogo, you might have some luck with Moruya Bicycles (I've bought Mavic spares from them previously) :Pogo wrote:Gidday mate,im_no_pro wrote:Card is marked as follows:
