Could someone please recommend suitable bike armour for a carbon mtb.
Not the thick stuff on the chain stay or the front of the down tube.
Something to put on the frame around the bottom bracket to prevent further stone chips.
And a supplier would be an extra bonus.
Thanks,
CB

Frameskin. I put it on all my bikes except the roadie. It's not cheap, but it's tough and doesn't go yellow from the UV like the cheapo competitors (like Birzman ). You can get kits customised for your particular bike. http://frameskin.com.au/
Best applied with the aid of a hair dryer. There are vids on youtube explaining. I wouldn't use anything else.
Edit: I should add that I have had some *massive* rock strikes on the downtube from loose babyheads while riding fast downhill fire trails (eg Cascades) and was sure I'd cracked my frame, but without leaving a mark. Without the film in place I'd at the very least have lost some paint.

Absolutely Frameskin.
I've skinned several road & MTB bikes and even the back of my cars where the racks sit. My suggestions are to clean your bike. And again. Put the skin on in daylight and absolutely use a hairdryer.

Sorry to hijack thread a bit but in a similar vein has anyone tried something like plasti dip spray as paint protection?
