I bought a 2nd hand 6700 series Ultegra wheelset, the one with straight pull spokes, of which they have an end nut at the hub end on one side, but not the other (or rear wheel). the end nut has a flat head screw driver head/fitting.
there is a conventional, external and 6-sided (hexagonal) spoke nipple looking thing at the rim end. but my old spoke wrench with sizes 9 to 15 (most spokes I have are 15) doesn't fit. I measure the nipple nut diameter at ~4mm (roughly, by sight against a tape measure).
I can't see a spoke wrench on sale for these? Shimano does a 4.3 and 4.4mm end wrench (http://www.this link is broken/au/e ... -prod23261), maybe that will fit?
I can't find any advice online, other than the shimano documentation which doesn't mention a spoke wrench at all. what am I missing here?

Standard Shimano repair protocol.
1. Remove faulty component/assembly.
2. Purchase new component/assembly.
3. Install new component/assembly.
4. Ride.
In this case the assembly to be 'repaired' is the wheel.
Cheers,
Cameron

Shimano do make a hexagonal spoke spanner to suit, usually supplied with the wheels. Their Pro subsidiary also produce one.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Apparently you will need the Shimano Y4CK19000 spoke plug wrench.

Moruya Bicycles usually carry them http://moruyabicycles.com.au/contents/e ... e-key.html but they're out of stock...
Had the same issue on some wh-r540 wheels. Had nothing that fit, gave it to the LBS for trueing.
