DT Swiss R24 DB rear wheel.
Noticed I had a buckled rim on the weekend. On closer inspection, there are cracks radiating from a spoke hole and the metal is bent outwards as though the spoke head is being pulled through. The rims are only 3 years old.
I had a buckle in one wheel about two years ago after hitting a pothole and I got the bike shop to straighten it for me, but I can't remember whether it was this wheel or the front. Is this something you might see if you over-tighten a spoke to correct a buckle?
I guess there's no way of repairing it?

It's dead, and a symptom of excessive tension.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

OK that's what I thought. Looks like new wheels for me then. Every cloud has a silver lining

I suspect your LBS put too much tension into that one spoke to perform the original "repair".
3 years out of a factory wheelset is probably above average though ... assuming reasonable levels of usage.
