The left handle gear shifter (shimano revoshift sl-rs41-7) seems to be broken.
I cannot afford to go to a bike repair shop and i am struggling to figure out fixing on my own. Neither could i find online videos for this model
Can someone please help me fix it. I can send photos/video of what you need to see to determine if it can be fixed or not.
Also,if deemed necessary where can i buy the replacement for it.
From Melbourne
Thank you

Can you elaborate on what it's doing or not doing? Might just need a new cable.
You can get them off ebay for a bit over $30:

Not a hard fix, though I would put even odds on it being just a frayed cable if you can't see anything obvious. That would be a $5 fix.
under $30 for a new pair of shifters:

Can you describe the problem, or put up a photo?
If you're anywhere near Glen Iris I'd be happy to help.

If you are near the Western Suburbs.
You can go down to the Cycle Saloon in the pipeworks park in Maribynong.
They probably be able to help you out. They may even have a shifter to suit.

A cheap and easy fix, and probably a good idea, is to throw the Revoshift (both) in the bin, and fit some trigger shifters. Yours seems to be for a 7sp system, and I'm assuming 3sp on the front, so any of the Shimano 3x7 trigger shifters would be a better option, and fairly cheap as well. Online sellers have sets for $30 +/-new_biker wrote:The left handle gear shifter (shimano revoshift sl-rs41-7) seems to be broken.
