Broken Campy Super Record EPS brake lever and shifter springs

Postby nealjp » Thu Dec 13, 2018 1:14 am

Hi all,
My LH Campy Super Record EPS brake lever wasn't returning back to its proper position. I gave it a quick spray with lithium grease but that didn't fix it.

After taking the lever apart (!!!), the lever return spring and the shifter spring (located on the inside of shift lever where the circuitry is) are toast.

My local bike shop, the importer, and Campy in Italy have not been able to help me.

So...
Are there people or business that may be able to make such a spring? I thought about a watch repairer. It'd be great to crowdsource a few ideas!

The other alternative is to buy a set of lever bodies for $600. I'd like to avoid that!

Cheers,
Neal

So it seems Campy has gone to the dogs too.
