I was hoping to dust off the track bike and was looking at the upcoming events when I looked at the Victorian Omnium description. (I doubt that I'll ride in it BTW.) Whilst administratively I can understand doing away with timed events, because they are resource intensive and time consuming, but does anyone know what a Tempo Ronde is? Is this really the new UCI format?CV wrote:The Victorian Omnium Championship is a single competition consisting of four events which shall be held on one day in the following order:
Men will race is in two groups MEN (ELITEM & JM19) and Masters Men (MMAS)
1. Scratch
2. Tempo Ronde
3. Elimination
4. Points
The distances will be made available when we either have the number of starters or recommended details from the UCI.
We're aligning the events according to the new UCI format. There will be no timed events (Kilo/IP) and only 4 mass start events conducted in one day.
Category Medals will be recognised based on overall results placing for ELITEM, ELITEW, JM/W19 and MMAS/WMAS.
Cheers,
