Aero bars for junior track bike

Hi all
My 12 year old son is entering a team pursuit race soon and assures me he needs some clip on aero bars for this. Anyone have any general or brand/model recommendations?

Im pretty sure Juniors are not allowed to use aero bars.

"Handlebars shall be of the standard “Classic” style. Bolt on handlebar extensions shall be allowed for under 15 and under 17 riders for the individual pursuit, team pursuit and road and track time trials only. No modification to the extension shall be allowed."

So that's a big NO. The younger ones need to be controlling their bikes via the standard drop handlebars, not on extensions.

Also, gearing needs to be restricted to a roll out of ..
J11/13 - 5.500 metres
39 x 16 = 5.13 m 40 x 16 = 5.26 m 41 x 16 = 5.39 m
42 x 17 = 5.19 m 43 x 17 = 5.32 m 44 x 17 = 5.44 m
45 x 18 = 5.26 m 46 x 18 = 5.37 m 47 x 18 = 5.49 m
48 x 19 = 5.31 m 49 x 19 = 5.42 m 50 x 20 = 5.26 m

Wheels high pressures with 16 spokes or more, and not carbon.
Standard triangular frame.

Although he is 12, turning 13 in 2017, because of cycling's 'interesting' age rules, he has an under 15 licence, so can use clip-ons.

I know all about that. My son was about 15 and apparently U/19 riding with all the man-childs

Yeah.

Off topic I know, but I reckon it's a major disincentive for kids to get into and remain in cycling because they have to spend a year or two getting thrashed.

I know there's various grades of U15 / U17 etc but I'm not at all keen on him racing kids who are so much older and heavier (particularly newbies who don't know what they're doing at 50 kph)

BTW, to go even further off topic I took your advice and bought the ProLite Pista - very happy with it.
