Hi all, I'm John and I just joined the challenge. My daily commute is a round trip of about 35km.

I'm gradually adding this year's rides from Strava, so you'll see my distance increase a fair bit over the next few days - I hope that's alright with everybody.

First commute today in almost 4 weeks. Hoping the body has healed enough to continue doing back to back days.

thanks. was another solid month for me with only 2 days commuting missed. both days I didn't go to work

Used the bike today to get early to Sydney Olympic Park to claim a shelter for a family BBQ/Party then left late also. Otherwise it would have been PT in use (not fun).
Drank coffee in the claimed shelter whilst waiting, was quite pleasant

I'd really prefer an elevation commuting challenge

Hi westab, my aim in joining this challenge is to force myself to ride to work every day (instead of 3-4 days/week as I have been doing), so could end up catching you! Watch out!

I think I may have an unfair advantage in that one. if i get a chance, i'll do some maths

from what i can see, commuting last year gave me 171846m of climbing (out of 203k)

Nope, summer holiday. Nice to miss July in Melbourne, especially this year. But now I'm back, it's all back to the normal which is about 190KMs a week.

Ah yes but if it was a vert challenge I would change up my commutes to give you a run for ya money
