the only carbon I care about is on my bike. calories is a bonus. I just want to get near the pointy end of this challenge againRyanA wrote:That's why I'm doing it.DavidS wrote: I suppose we are burning more calories and less carbon with all this riding so all good.

Well done, this is a hell of a competitive challenge, my position changes by the hour. 1K by April is pretty damned good.AlexHuggs wrote:No where near a contender in this challenge, but really pleased to have clocked up 1000km.

I was wondering what was going on. I thought I had p3 comfortably. 300+kms or week the last fortnight. Now I have 3 weeks of 4 day weeks. If Ryan keeps this up we'll both be tapping p1/2 on the shoulders shortlyRyanA wrote:Been swamped with work lately, so I was contemplating doing a few hours over the weekend. Then Jason took my place on the podium, so that gave me the motivation to ride in to work for a few hours today...Jason, my employers thank you

Man that's Heaps - well done. I still am trying to shake a cold so the kms are a little shorter than I would like. I hope I can catch you - It was looking hopeless to move up any with the way you guys in the top 6 put a gap of a few hundred kms on me.fat and old wrote:I did over 650k's in the last two weeks, and I'm still falling back. Now I'm screwed.....bike goes into shop for maybe 3-4 weeks after today and I can use the Boulder, Cypress or resurrect the old 57 sq. Apollo from wherever it is. and maybe stay top 10. 3 day week next week too.
With renewed hope I might have to start chasing again.

I'm sitting in your slip stream. We'll get up to P1/P2 in a couple of weeks at this rateRyanA wrote:Going to pick up a car I purchased tomorrow, so that will give me a few extra km's. All I then have to do is not be tempted to drive the thing and maintain my cycling km's...

Fatbike commuting will wear me out too much if I keep doing 200km weeks.
And I have to drive tomorrow for the third time this year, I hate driving to work...

So, no more 200KMs a week commuting until late May.
Meanwhile, I'll be on holiday.
When I'm back though, it will be back to the usual commute, so I'll be trying to regain position.
