Friday Morning, relaxing with coffee by Lake Kawana, only a couple of minutes from work- it would be so easy to keep riding now the weather is improving.

I can't work out how to attach the photo, rather than the link... Anyone help?
2 issues:
  1. You are using dropbox which makes it hard to find the url for just the photo - replacing the www with dl does the trick
  2. Your original photo is too big for convenient display in these forums
So this code would work, but I won't post it as an image because it is too large.

Code: Select all

Putting aside the nerd speak though, its a great photo of a gorgeous view.

Twice a week I have to commute through Gion. This is one of 4 areas you will find Geisha (or as we call them in Kyoto; Geiko and Maiko)
This first picture is a Maiko. She is an apprentice Geiko.
Image

This picture is a Geiko. She is what most people call a Geisha. Notice the Geiko wears a plain Kimono and next to no hair jewelry. This is because she has completed her years of training and is concidered a woman, needing nothing to attract men other than her skills in traditional poetry, music, and dance.

My neck o' the woods :)

You stopped in the middle of the bridge to take a photo? I'm normally flat out trying to keep the momentum up, into the hill on the other side :)

Nice photo

Nice photo
I like that ride in the morning & am trying to get more hills into my legs on my commutes.
I did stop in the middle of the bridge & take that photo Rebilda. I go slowly up that hill, so loss of any momentum isn't felt that much.

Thanks. Phones do take pretty decent photos these days.

Not a commute picture as such, but a picture of my commuter! Finally got it set up the way I want it. All I need is a decent rain jacket, and I am all set for ALL weather commuting!

Nice rig! I need to get my mudguards on at some point. As well as a jacket I really need shoe covers. Stepping back into soggy shoes of an evening is no fun.

Dam! Hadn't thought about the shoe covers! Nicks I have plenty, but only one pair of shoes! Will be looking for covers for them too now! Thanks Nezumi. :-)

Nice work, I remember doing the Coot-tha challenge a few years ago in conditions like that, it was beautiful :) .
