I was actually looking for wire coathangers to cut up when I stumbled on the sacrificial basket.

Great work on the steed! I like the understated paint job. Kinda interesting to see that everyone that goes through this process has the same design/manufacturing issues- kick stand and steering linkages. I still have a little slop in my steering due to the poor quality heim style joints I could get when overseas. It is not a huge issue- just not the 'direct' feel that I was after. At some stage I will attempt to address that but for now it is doing pretty well. Since I have returned to OZ i've been using the bike predominantly in it's 'mobile PA/Noise making' set up which has been a lot of fun. She will be making an appearance at the CBR leg of a bicycle film festival next month.
