You know the red mist has descended when you think "Hooray for School Holidays, I can do some extended commutes" or even worse "Curse these Public Holidays and Annual Leave, they are robbing me of commuting kms" :)

I have to commute without the bike tomorrow, bugger.

Cheers,

Cameron

Good to hear grgic. Hope you recovery continues to go well.

The last couple of weeks has been hard to get away from work so my kms have been a bit lower than normal. Hope to get more kms over the next couple of weeks.

The weather has been great lately. Am just enjoying riding at the moment.
Not fast, no style, but still get there.

Well the good news is that next month I am moving house and its further from work, the bad news is my commute via waterfront will be shorter but the good news is that my favourite mountain is closer but the bad news is that the gym I go to in the morning is further away so will have less time to go to work via it but the good news is that the morning climbing route over the other 2 bumps is now longer so basically there will be no change to my km's outside my driveway will be down hill instead of the 23% uphill that I have now which the cold legs will be thankful for

Cancan you've confused me. Are you going to be doing more kms or less after the move ?

You should have run to work. That would have fixed it. I'm more worried about ironhandglider than you atm
Why? You're steadily increasing distance on me. Stryder is the quiet achiever. He doesn't seem to post much but is now only a couple of days worth behind me.

On the other hand, you're looking tired, you need a holiday...

I made it to 6th spot on Friday. I don't think I will be there today though.

Didn't ride yesterday as we had a function in town and it's only a 2km walk with nowhere to leave my bike so missed about 40kms yesterday.

No its mine and you shall not pass  Now I'm feeling motivated to ride to bible study tonight and not use the car regardless of the cold.

If your doing 40km per day it will be yours soon enough (I won't be able to match that)- great work.

Also just to let everyone know I will have about 100kms (or so) to add to my end of month numbers as I choose to ride the folding bike to work on Tuesdays to facilitate soccer / netball practice and the timing of the pickups with one car (to keep my kids & wife safe). This will be till about August - I just don't want to upload the numbers twice a week - I'd rather be riding.

Not sure which is sadder - that I had missed entering my commutes for 3 weeks, or that when I did I only moved up 1 place.

It would have been sadder if you hadn't ridden - I know its getting harder to ride as its getting colder so quickly at the moment - I'm lucky that I have Mugglechops breathing down my neck, miss a day and loose 6th spot :!:

I missed today. No hot water at work so I drove for the second time this year.

Then tomorrow is an adventure training day in Kiama so I am not going to count riding there as a commute as it's not actually working

If you are riding there.... doing the training, and having fun and then end of day riding back then that is a commute... just because its not work work shouldn't matter... to me the aim is more to have an extra reason to use the bike to get to point A rather than take the car

Mugglechops - as much as it pains me (not really) I agree. It's a commute pure and simple.

If you are riding during the training for fitness then that wouldn't be included "according to the rules" but I would have no problem including that either.

Most of all enjoy the training - sounds like fun - be great to see some photos or a video.
