BPM:high 20s. Lowest recorded is 24.
Training: 25 hours per week on bike, 80% of which would be classified as "garbage miles"
My heart rate is low. I used to be super-hyper-morbidly obese and even then is was maybe 60. As my weight dropped, so did my heart rate until below 30. Doc was not sure if he should worry, but have no other paritcualr symptoms of anything being wrong. When I had a ekg it settled at 27 and that was the only non-conformance in my medical check over...
Another intersting point is my max is about 155. well as high as I have measured anyway. It would be good if it was more like 200 or even 180 - I'd likely have huge VO2 max if that was the case

I recorded a new record low of 36 BPM the other day (down from a previous 37). Just to prove it wasn't a temporary thing, I guess.
Interesting about your low MHR, Antti. I've always had a high MHR.
A decade ago (late 20s - early 30s) I had a basic HRM, and recorded max 200+ BPM on quite a few mountain bike rides. I watched it (through a blur of overexertion) once, recording a solid 210, then returning back to more sane levels as I recovered, without any tell-tale jumping around or other signs that it was a false reading.
These days, I'm a decade older and much fitter (about to turn 39), and I have a (crappy) recording HRM. I know it goes nuts occasionally, spiking and recording 220+ for a while, then spiking back down to where it should be, so I know to ignore anything spurious. The believable parts of my HRM traces top out at around 180 BPM, when I'm smashing myself but in a sustainable manner (I hovered between 165 and 180 for 20 minutes in a dirt crit this week, and didn't explode). So 180 is not an absolute maximum HR. Maybe I've become too lazy and/or sensible in my old age to really go for a MHR effort. Perceived effort and rule-of-thumb %MHR zones don't correlate unless I assume my MHR is somewhere upward of 195. Certainly somewhere well beyond the "220-age" estimate.
I guess I've just got a wide ratio gearbox on my heart.

BPM: min 35 recorded sleeping after full recovery, absolute max 214 with full carbo load(recorded 28/02/2014). Typ max 185-190 on regular grub.
Training: Whenever I get a chance, shift work & family commitment limit any possibility of regularity. Best guess average is maybe 3 hours per week made up of walking, jogging & cycling.

Considering the guiness book of records has 27 as the record.

Cool, seems the 27 is still the world record according to the guiness world record site. I measured it often at 26 or 27 when I awoke in the mronign when I used to track such things. The 24 I've measured is "unoffical" and I may have been derranged or drinking marijuana or something, but I do have the report from the medial with EKG that had it as 27. Seems I'm an equal world record holderskull wrote:Anttismo, that is pretty low.

Being somewhat IT retarded, sharing a photo via instagram via strava seemed as simple as I could do Note, photos also answer that other great question - what is the world's coolest bike

Maintenance is 100 km per week in 3 rides on a 1972 i6 kg steelie done out as a road trainer still running 27 x 1 1/4 inch tyres on chrome rims
Have been doing 2 x 32 km weekday rides and 60 km on the weekend "Euro" ride.

Right now, its 70, but I just sat down and I've just been out for a ride. It's typically 56-60 later in the evening, but not sleeping, or lying down.
I'm a "returning cyclist", never competed, only commuted or toured. I've been riding 170 Kays a week since Jan 1, after effectively, a couple of years off the bike.
I'm feeling "reasonably fit" again.

BPM: 42 chilling on the couch
