That's great to see you getting around on a bike and back to your club. :)

+1, looks like you were lucky to survive. Keep up the hard work and you'll be back before you know it.

This media caper wasnt my idea I have to point out but given it has happened I have decided to try and use it to the max. I am going to start writing letters to the media in an attempt to get the one metre rule introduced to nsw as well as promote awareness and understanding of cyclists in the main stream.

The recent wipeout of 6 cyclists in sydney recently shows that something must be done.

It is time.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Have you joined the ACP yet? Would be good to have their resources behind you, especially in how to handle media.

A media tart arises

Postby find_bruce » Wed Mar 26, 2014 9:40 pm

Monday he says he has decided to have a crack at the media caper. Come Wednesday he is on 7 News

It's got to the stage where if gretaboy told me he was going to fly to the moon next week, my only question would be "what time ?" :D

One of my colleagues showed me the newspaper article this morning. He's quite amazed and inspired by the progress you have made. :)

Good luck with getting the media on side. I suggest you should talk to Australian Cycling Party, as Trailgumby said above (and for those reasons).

The bit with Stuart starts around 1:05. They called him a "Knights fan" -- LOL!

I did the 6 minute walk again this morning and more improvement...this time 698 metres

so my attempts are:

1. 405 metres
2. 566 metres
3. 698 metres

Nearly had another stumble, my first "lap" but recovered to give it a good go. Not so hot during todays attempt which helped I reckon. Hopefully the neck brace comes off on monday, apt with neuro surgeon, it was ten weeks yesterday since my accident.

We are picking up my go pros from the crash unit today, I am eager to see the footage from my rear camera, see what it shows. The officer I spoke to on the phone said it was a bit confronting the footage.

A big chunk of me says "good!". Anything to improve the roads for riding... I think images of your 6 minute walks would be just as confronting.

I'm wondering when you are planning that moon walk as well... fantastic work champion. Someone was trying to sell a recumbent trike on the For Sale page, is that something on your radar?

It is but I am having to go through a government agency to try and get one, so many hoops to jump through, I have replied to the person in question :)

Great effort, 698 metres!!!
Good luck with the neuro surgeon... Although I suspect you won't need luck - you are making your own!
