1 May - 106 kg
8 May - 102 kg
15 May - 101 kg
22 May - 100 kg
29 May - 99 kg
5 June - 98 kg
12 June - 99 kg
18 June - 97 kg
25 June - 95 kg

Surprised to be 2kg down this week, but there is likely a bit of day to day variation as well. Still, happy to be tracking along pretty well. Even put a new hole in my belt, so no doubt I'm losing weight :)

For sure! Your scales can say what they want but your belt doesn't lie.

That's great...I must be loosing weight as I have moved down another notch. Pesky scales...they lie. Maybe I need an indicator you know the sort of thing. One half says way, way heavy and the other says heavy. At the moment still in the way, way heavy class at a measly 129 kg. Wedding ring starting to fall off finger now.

Scales don't lie. They tell you what your weight is. But someone who is 5% body fat can weigh the same as someone who is 25% body fat. They weigh the same... so what? One person is muscular and one person is fat. Waist is a more important indicator of body fat than weight.

Yeah, I'm actually down 2 notches over the last few months. I'd been using the same 2 holes for about 3 years now - the smallest one when 97~100kg, and as I'd drift up toward 105 I'd be on smallest + 1 hole. This added one is a whole new one which seems to be required for <97 kg :)

As an aside, I have had this belt from when I lost the enourmous amount of weight between 3 and 4 years ago. My original pants size was about 64" (~160 cm) and gradually dropped back to about 38" (97 cm), and I even have a pair of 36s. So the belt started having holes added and being trimmed back. It has about 8 or 10 holes in it, not one of them is the originals that came with the belt. It's a well used belt :)

At least you make me feel human in amongst these sub 90 kg blokes.

Id be well pleased if I weighed under 115kg let alone 105kg. It is great you have made it below 100 kg.

That should certainly be achievable. You can use this thread to track your progress.

I've been browsing this thread over the last few weeks, and taken inspiration.
I thought I might join, just to keep myself more on the straight and narrow.
I'm going to reward myself with a bike trip to France when I get my weight down to target level, which is somewhere between 74 and 78kg. I am 187cm.

Thanks CC. I had a social last 5 days, hence the slower progress. I also had a few days with a tummy bug early in the piece, which led to some pretty rapid weight loss, but regain. It was probably just variation in intestinal bulk, glycogen/water. Anyway, I feel I've broken my cravings, so hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here. I better start checking out the French holiday thing! :)

Casual you seem to hover like I had around the low 90s. I got depressed I wasnt losing more weight, ate, drank, lost what I put on, stayed around 89-90kgs.

Finally down to 87.6 after 10 days of hard dieting. Aim is to be 83 by end of July.

I think numbers are secondary to what you look like naked in the mirror. I tend to plateau in the mid-high 90's as my fat turns to muscle; I can see improvement even though the numbers don't.

I've just started a new training program and a program of eating well. For the last week I have stuck to what I have wanted to eat and enjoyed it a lot.

I am really enjoying moving more and eating well. To me, that is more important than a number on a scale.

I need to start measuring my waist for this reason. I haven't been doing waist measurement but I suspect my waist is smaller, which means less fat. I'm not aiming for skinny this time round. Last time I was 75 kg, I was skinny with no muscle and no fat. I was very unfit and looked terrible! I would rather be fitter, stronger and have some muscle, which means weighing more. Not good for hill climbing though :P

Agree, I dropped 4kg and then nothing for two months but my waist and chest was reducing in size over this period.

I have gone from a Xl in shirts now to a medium, and down to a 34cm from a 42 waist. That's easy to measure just look at your clothes. I haven't bought ay new clothes because within 4 weeks Ive shrunk out of whatever I just bought!

Yeah - that's the best thing ever. 8) On that note -I picked up some new shirts from ctshirts.com.au, size 37, 84cm sleeves and extra slim fit, something that is sometimes hard to find elsewhere. They fit perfectly. Bad thing is buying new business suits. Expensive...
