Foam roller/rumble roller/cheap other

Hello people,

had a nasty recurrence of ITB lately. My normal blue foam roller doesnt seem to get into the spot like a massage ball that I use. But the massage ball is bit slow to work up and down my itb as I don't roll on it I kinda just place it and gradually add weight.

Had a bit of a google and a review I read suggested that the rumble roller doesn't seem to be any better than a normal roller.

So wondering if anyone has used both and can give any opinions on the above statement?

also I have found cheap ones here has anyone tried the cheaper ones? are they the same? The brand name ones runs $60-80

They just have PVC pipes cut to length at my gym, it works the same as my foam roller at home.

"The stick" (can be DIY'd easily too) is good for putting some serious pressure on trouble spots too, although it is a bit of a nuisance to use (without help) on anything other than legs

I do a standing stretch while leaning against the wall, something like below. I do this for day to day flexibility but initially started it because of a knee problem I had. It works for me.

Looks ok but you wouldn't know unless you buy one.

Bought a cheap and expensive one.

Differences are:
- Cheap one is softer
- Cheap one is smaller in diameter which also makes it less painful
- Cheap one has deformed already

I am now using PVC pipe for maximum pain.

I have both - they each work well enough. But the rumble roller is more effective. Hurts more too - but that's to be expected.
