How much cheese for lunch?
Postby zill » Sat Sep 06, 2014 7:34 am
Mainly for convenience, I am thinking of eating just cheese and one medium banana for lunch.
Question is how much (full fat) cheese should I eat? Amount in kilojules would be good.
FYI, I am a medium build male weighing in the low 70s. Let's assume, I ride 45km during the day but resting the rest of the time. Also, I usually have a big breakfast and a medium/lightish dinner. Snacks throughout the day will just be bananas and apples - the number of which depends on how hungry I am.

More silly questions, but don't worry, I'm the silly question and comment king of this forum.
Look on the cheese wrapper. All packaged food has a kJ per serve and kJ per 100grams and other nutritional information blurb printed on the packaging. Work it out yourself.
Sounds like some foolish, nutritionally inadequate fad diet to me. There was an Israeli Army diet similar years ago. Nothing but cheese and apples if I recall rightly. Just stupid IMHO.

I always thought cheese was fairly Fatty...,maybe I'm wrong.
I do know when i eat lots of it i am prone to flatulance, which comes in handy when you get those lazy people that suck your back wheel on the cycleway.

Let's not forget the binding effect of too much cheese.
It isn't colloquially known as bunghole for nothing...

What do tight-rope walkers eat for lunch?
A balanced diet.
And so should you

Is there a pointless ridiculous question you don't have Zill?
I'm anticipating further thread title's here:
What time should I go to the toilet to maximise power output?
What time should I wake up to ensure my first trip to the toilet is the optimum time?
Does my haircut influence my performance? Assume I had a 'Kittell cut', would this make me a faster sprinter?
What should I wear to bed to increase muscle growth in my legs?

awesome Gavin - you seem to get a real kick from Zill's questions. Personally I find smoking a few cones and laying on the grass looking at the clouds to be the perfect time for contempating a lot of the questions
You know, I have heard there are no silly questions...

How much cheese? Depends how clogged you want your arteries. Oh hang on, obese Dr Atkins who had a heart attack said that fat 'cleans the heart'.
lulz.
Switch the fat for carbs and live a little harder. That will lean you out mate.

It depends on the desired outcome.
If it's malnutrition and possible scurvy, you're headed in the right direction.
