Re: Dry eye syndrome

For the dermatitis I use Desowen lotion topically intermittently. It clears it up within a day or two. However, there are long term risks of rosacea, so I keep it to an absolute minimum.

I manage by not using soap on my face at all. For cleanser I use LÓreal Age Perfect. I have to be very strict with getting sweat off my face immediately after any intense activity or both it and my eyes flare up badly.

During the day I use MooGoo Eczema and Psoriasis cream http://moogoo.com.au/irritable-skin-balm.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; No long term risks of side effects AFAIK.
I've found MooGoo's cream with Elderberry and Marshmallow to work slightly better: http://moogoo.com.au/eczema-cream-with- ... -more.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but from recollection the instructions indicate short term use is preferred. Read: there may be risks from continued use.
Massaging Head And Shoulders conditioner into my face for a few seconds when washing my hair seems to help a little.

I've had an opthalmologist appointment to get a second opinion and given my eye health is otherwise outstanding I have been given FML steroid drops to use morning and evening once a week, and an antibiotic cream to use on the eyelids to slightly improve oil production. I have a follow up appointment with another guy in the practice who specialises in dry eye.

I've been told to manage the dermatitis on my face a bit more aggressively as it can have an impact on my eyes.
