Not sure about a change in volume, but I do notice cabbage produces a rather malodorous result.

For the connoisseur of flatulence, comes the Jerusalem artichoke.
Roasted, they have a delicate smokey flavour. Loved them as a kid when I dug them up in winter from under the lemon tree fro Mum to cook. More recently, though, my family has found the culinary experience to be more traumatic. Huge bulges of gas gwarp and burble through the lower tracts and announce their emergence with the volume of the brass section.
