Been losing 1kg per week on average. Peak weight was 82kg.
Been on a strict diet eating the same things everyday but fortunately they are my favorite home cooked foods so don't get sick of it.
Nobody, from memory you eat pretty much the same things every week? How often do you eat out? And when you do, do you watch what you eat or just enjoy yourself for the day (meal)?

It appears the previous measurements were just a bounce from a diet change. I've been ~63.5 for a few days now. I expect to be within 0.5kg of this at year end.

Weight 63.9kg, BMI 21.35
Waist 75.5cm, WHtR 0.436
Since my waist size has hit the action threshold listed in my first post here (initial post should read 63.0kg as scales were out 1kg) I'm going back to more normal eating tomorrow.

Back in the early 00's I decided to get a bit consciousness and started walking then jogging around Eaglemont (quite hilly) - managed to get down to 95 kilo's. Winter set in and gradually slid back to 105 kilo's.
My normal blood pressure hovers around 120/80 - 115/75 so doctor was not overly concerned.
This latest April weight suddenly went up over 110 kilos (112 - 113).
Blood test showed up an excess in Cholesterol and sugar levels.
Get on your bike the doctor ordered.
Through a combination of cutting out the snacks, cutting out the sugared coffee and getting on the bike weight is down to around 102 kilos.
Straight out of bed on the scales, just under 100, but goes up a kilo or so during the day.
Doctor wants me to aim for around 95 kilos. Then reevaluation.
Meanwhile I can now do up my shoes without getting out of breath

So I did an experiment in laziness lately. Averaging only about once a week on the bike and not weighing or doing waist measurements for the colder months. So mainly relying on diet and not much of a mindful one at that.Nobody wrote:Weight 63.9kg, BMI 21.35

18th Aug:
Weight 64.8 kg, BMI 21.65
Waist 76.5 cm, WHtR 0.442
So I need to get back into more exercise and mindfulness as summer is coming and I want to shed the fat to be physically cooler.

Disappointingly even though I've been on a mission to lose weight in the last few months all the crap I've been eating has meant that this morning's weigh in was 88.6kg.TonyMax wrote:I'm in again, I'll target 79.9kg again.
Starting point from 31/12/15 = 88.8kg
I've been advised by my trainer that I've too much muscle to be gunning for 79.9 any more, so my revised target is 82kg.

Looking for a WHtR of about 0.430 by year end. Weight matters less.

Some history:
Jul '14: starting riding at 114.5kg
EOY '14: 105.5kg
Lightest in '15: 103kg
Jan '16: 106kg
Heaviest '16: 108.5kg
Yesterday 08/09/16: 104kg
It's been a yoyo 'ride' with family life (birth of my son) and changed working conditions putting a dent in my plans to get fit and lose weight. Recently I returned from a work trip to the US (2 weeks of eating junk food) and topped out at 108.5kg which coincided with a regular health check where my GP advised that I'd have to lose weight or risk going onto BP medication for life.
That's resulted in a renewed effort and I've seen good results in the last few weeks that I want to continue. My goal for each year since I started riding has been sub-100kg, and obviously I haven't been successful yet. However this year I'm determined to see it through; I've implemented a few dietary changes along with my exercise regime and I'm aiming for 95kg.
I'd also love to get a trainer and join Zwift when the budget allows!
I'll check in here at the end of each month!

Only 176cm in height so still fat old man, but getting there.
Has been a reasonably smooth downward slide so far. Only very small jiggles.

Another cm or more off the waist by year end to achieve my summer goal of WHtR of 0.430. Which will probably work out to be another kg or more.

0.9kg in 6 days. A reasonable effort considering some people already see me as too thin (a societal norm problem). My WHtR is lagging my weight, but I've been doing a bit of lifting lately. So maybe my core strength is up, or maybe I've lost muscle & glycogen too. Time will tell.

Weight was checked this morning and adjusted. 200g of dehydration. Still haven't reached the goal of BMI < 21. Should be very slow from here.

To recap briefly:
Jul'14 started riding at 114.5kg.
Jan'16: 106kg, heaviest this year 108.5kg when I returned from 2 weeks in the US.
End of September: 103.7kg.
My latest dietary change has been cutting out bread & cheese for breakfast and having only a bowl of cereal. Generally no snacks throughout the day; if so I try to have fruit. On a ride I'll grab a small 'health' bar. The lightest I've been since starting to ride is 103.0kg... hoping to eclipse that by the end of this month. Haven't done much riding lately - I need to get more hours in the saddle but other commitments have made it impossible lately.

Today:
Weight 60.7 kg.
Shows what a busy 13 hour working day can do to your hydration levels.

Waist took a while to catch up, even though weight hasn't changed. Waist goal reached. I'd like to lose a little bit more weight, but summer is still 47 days away, so I don't need to push as hard on calorie restriction.
