Just back from the doctors ....

Postby Jawa » Thu Oct 20, 2016 7:30 pm

Brief backstory ... went for ride last Sunday, woke up Monday with sore groin. Fast forward to today and not getting better, think time to pay a visit to the good doctor. Referral, scans and back to the doctor again to find out I have a hernia in my groin.

Anyway, I need to get a surgery done. No issue however the kicker comes when im told I couldn't ride my bike for minimum 3 months post surgery. As is at the moment im in the best shape ive been in for years and my cycling fitness relative to my time cycling is great.

Has anyone been in a similar situation though whereby they are off the bike for 3+ months because of an operation/injury. After getting back on the bike how long was it until you got back to you pre-operation/injury?

Just wanted to see what others experiences are ... to say im bummed at the moment would be an understatement :(
