Bike Riding Program for Women by Bicycle Queensland
If you want to gain more confidence on a bike, meet other riders and learn that a cassette is something not only housed by a 1980s Walkman, then BicyGals is the program for you. For more information: http://www.bq.org.au/ride/bicygals/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Our future events/rides:
1 March Commuting and Riding in Traffic Workshop
Learn tips on how to commute confidently to your workplace or social engagements: what to take, how to carry it and answers to the 'big questions' - rainy days and helmet hair!
The one hour workshop will be held at the Bicycle Queensland office at 28 Vulture Street, West End, at 9am to 10am.
1 March Maintenance Course
Want to know how to change your own flat tyres? How to release the brakes? How to remove the wheel and then replace it? Run by women for women at the Bicycle Queensland office, 28 Vulture Street, West End, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Bring your own bicycle, spare tube, tyre levers and pump.
1 March Equipment Course
Want to know your cogs from your cassette? Then come along for advice on selecting the most suitable bike for you, find out about 'bike fit' and the best tools, clothing and computers to enhance your riding experience.
The session takes place at the Bicycle Queensland office, 28 Vulture Street, West End from 1.00pm to 2.00pm.
2 March Southside Loop Ride
Join this ride and we'll help you broaden your bike-riding horizons. The ride starts at 9.00am at Minnippi Parklands, Cannon Hill, and we'll cycle a 30km loop with a coffee shop break in-between.
You can ask all those questions you've wanted to but didn't about gears, cycle clothing, where to ride, how to climb hills, and more.
6 April Northside Loop Ride
The ride starts at 9.00am at Kalinga Park, Clayfield, and we will ride a 50km loop with a coffee shop break included. Ask questions about gears, clothing, where to ride, how to climb hills and anything you've wanted to ask but didn't for fear of looking silly. It will be fun and hopefully some new friendships will be formed.
1 June Commuting and Riding in Traffic Workshop
