I wonder if anybody intervened to try to stem the bleeding, or did they panic and not know what to do? We'll never know. Such an utter waste.
The excuse-making on behalf of the driver angers me profoundly. Essentially, he wasn't keeping a proper lookout for bike riders so failed to register her presence - same as it ever was.
