The guy is a classic news limited angry right wing troll. He's not a journalist he's an "opinion writer". That is (I kid you not) how they rationalise their way around their code of ethics charter to be neutral and unbiased. Avoid.
Best thing we can hope for is that he loses his licence over a boozy journo lunch and has to ride everywhere. You wont get him to change his mind as long as his income depends on him writing crap like this.
