Bontrager Affinty Elite Rear Cracked Rim
Postby NewStew » Wed Mar 02, 2016 4:41 pm
Have a 8 month old Domane 6.9 Disc and the rear rim has cracked at several of the spoke eyelets..... I am wondering if anyone else has had any issues with the Affinity Elite wheelset? While I am pretty solids (100kg) and put out a decent amount of power I am of the opinion that this shouldnt be enough to get the rim to give up after just over 5,000 km. Trek are replacing the wheel under warranty but I am now worried it will happen again in another 5,000 km and I will eventually be hung out to dry.

No direct experience, but my 2014 Domane 5.2 had similar rear wheel issue. Quickly fixed on warrantee and no issues since. A few others have had the same, there is a post "Check your rear wheels"
