I ended up getting this Hong Kong made thing with a rubber like elastic mount - it fits and angles up enough to get the light straight. It's not over tight either, which was the main thing I worried about. The light itself is quite bright - and it sits in nicely behind the frame. :)

Finally picked up my 12 TCR 0 from my LBS last week.
They spent an hour and half fitting me to the bike. Once away from the shop the bike looks awesome.
I'm glad I didn't go the black of the 13 . . . Cleaning a black bike looks a nightmare.
Cheers

I have used the reflector bracket minus the reflector and then just bolted the light to that on TCR's before. Only works with certain lights though.

Damn sight easier than cleaning a white bike.

Purchase thyself a bottle of Muc-Off bike cleaner - brilliant stuff.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

After fitting a rear light and Garmin I'm considering SLR Aero wheel set off the Popel.
Anyone fitted these yet ? Are they a good upgrade ?

Noticed the other day I've done 20,000 k's on this thing now, no real issues to report. I swapped the wheels out early on, they rolled ok but I found the flexed a lot on climbs and had to run them with the brakes slackened right off which is NBG on the descent. Was coming back along a local bike path one day and came across at least 5 metres of path completely under water without any easy way of getting around it. After much umming and ahhing I decided to ride through it thinking it cant be too deep, well it was, came up to bottom bracket level so the di2 battery was well and truly wet. Being 30 k's from home I was no longer confident of my decision to ride through it. Remarkably the water had no effect on the electronics and it hasn't skipped a beat the whole time I've had it.

Hey guys, so just wondering what a good price for a used model of this bike would be??

A guy i know is selling one for 1800, which he bought a year ago. Good condition, normal wear and tear.
I've actually already got the advanced 3 with 105, just looking for the upgrade to di2.

The other option, is potentially saving for a while longer, and buying a Cell Omeo 2.0 for $2799, which i've heard nothing but good reviews and also has the di2.

But obviously id rather not spend the extra 1k for little gain.
Cheers.

A plus for going the TCR is that being the same frame as what you currently have you can set it up the same as your current bike, which will make swapping between the two a breeze. With a change of rear wheel, rear derailleur, chain & cassette it will upgrade to 11-sp. quite easily should you wish to go that way down the track. Given that new it was a $4k bike, $1800 is not bad for a 2012 vintage.

yeah thats definitely true!
i guess i'm just wondering how long the 2012 advanced 0 will keep me satisfied, have the 2014 models really improved that much?
otherwise i may as well just spend the extra money now on something that will last longer.

Cheers!

Patchyy only improvement is the groupset frame is just paint difference. And as duck said rd cassette and chain and you 11 speed anyway for an extra $300 plus wheels of course. But yeah very good buy at $1800!

Yeah I was leaning towards getting a new bike, but i think i'll get the 2012 0, keep it over the winter and see how i'm going when next summer hits.
If i start racing/tri and want something better i'll pick it up then.

2014 frames are the same as 2012. Tne only improvement across the series is the Ultegra models (mech and Di2) benefitting from the upgrade to 11-sp for '14. Any other changes are basically cosmetic.

It'll come down to how much the 10-11spd upgrade will cost you in the future and It's usually cheaper to buy a ready built bike than upgrade later. At the least you'll need 11spd rear mech, cassette, chain, DT Swiss 11spd freehub and rear wheel re-dish. Bear in mind the 2014 bike also has upgraded brakes, cables etc.
I'd start looking around and haggling on the 2014 model before settling on the 2012 model. Maybe check when Giant had runout sales last year as they'll do the same this year?
It's a bit warmer here than Scotland isn't it!
