Folks,
I've just bought a "new" Bianchi carbon 928 Mono-Q but I'm unable to find a serial number anywhere in the frame. I'm not sure what year it is, and can't find much in the way of Bianchi archives containing this bike (it's mostly Campy Athena 11 speed).
Where should I be looking to find a serial number? Do the Fulcrums tell me that it was assembled from a frameset?
Cheers,
Tony

The stickers you have found are the serial nos for the groupset probably. Have you looked underneath the bottom bracket (bike upside down)?
Great looking Bianchi by the way. Colour correct too.

Yep I've looked underneath the BB, does the carbon frame mean the serial number wouldn't be stamped as per a steel or alloy frame?
I've emailed Bianchi however no response yet.

Another option is to ring a shop that sells Bianchi or the Australian distributor Sola Sport.

Thanks for that I emailed Sola Sport and they couldn't help either, I'll enlist the help of my LBS when I take it for its first service in a few weeks.

It's correct that carbon frames can't be stamped, so the serial number is usually on either a decal applied under the clearcoat (so it can't be peeled off without leaving an obvious mark) or stamped on an aluminium plate that is rivetted to the frame.
It's unusual that you can't find anything; a newer Bianchi that I had in for service yesterday has its number on the underside of the bottom bracket, where one would normally expect to find it.
Sola Sports haven't been the Bianchi distributor here for all that long, so it could be worth calling the former distibutor Bikesportz - they may have a bit more insight to models older than the last couple of years.

I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.
