My blood would be puddled well after that log...probably a few metres down the track where I'd finally come to rest after catching the back wheel on that bloody log.
Ours is not to reason why...merely to point and giggle

Having seen one of these TCX in that hue in the flesh Mitchy, I'd say you'll be a very happy camper when it is built!

You only have 3 days to get it built for the next Gold Coast CX race...

worth the wait. ;)

i chucked the shimano crank in there for the time being, but by GXP BB arrived just after i'd put it together so my Red crank is now on there with a narrow-wide CX ring.

came in at 7.79kg with a bit more to lose with the Red crank and carbon wheels. :D

a medium TCX is reportedly ~8.4kg stock.

my 1x10 drivetrain is pretty light saving a few hundred grams, saddle saves another ~100g, wheels ~200g, tyres ~2-300g.

with the carbon wheels and folding version of the same tyres it should be mid to low 7's.

Finally got around to swapping the cranks and gluing tubs to the race wheels.

Hopefully I won't break my collarbone right before CX season begins next year!

My Focus Mares CX comes in at 8.6Kg in XL frame (same as 58cm) with the stupid-heavy FSA Gossamer BB30 crankset and heavy CX tyres/tubes.

My 58cm CAAD10s come in at 8-8.2kg, respectively - again, different cranksets - DA vs Ultegra on those.

cheers

My size 56 Boone comes in at 8.4kg in road format. ..I guess the di2 battery ads a bit. .. unsure if the hydraulic brakes add to much extra. .. Of course the weight goes out the window when I hop on it

You run a SRM?... I have been tempted to run my powertap to see what I actually do in. a CX race.
What chain rings you running?... Looks like 50/34.
I am going to skip the first few races this season... Just not fit enough. Not worth wasting my money or more importantly wife brownie points to come in mid field

I do now.

Rings are curently 50 34. They were in the spare parts bin from an old wired FSA SRM which was also the SRM Compact design with 110 BCD inner and 130 BCD outer... May swap out at some point but will run this for a bit first.

Di2 hydro is a little hefty compared to Sram Red... roughly ~420g heavier.

Shimano R785 shifters + brakes - 739g
Di2 front - 155g
Di2 rear - 250g
battery - 73g
Total - 1217g

Sram Red shifters - 280g
TRP Spyres - 308g
Red front - 58g
Red rear - 153g
Total - 799g

Red 22 hydro is roughly ~700g for shifters/brakes, but then sram has always been lighter... and apparently more prone to breaking.

then keep in mind i have no front derailleur, gutted front left shifter, single chain ring... there's easily a good half a kilo, so it's not really apples with apples!

I built my perfect bike years ago. It doesn't seem to fit any category accept hybrid or CX, anyway not as high spec as the original build but still around 8kg.
