Thinking I'll do the Red Bull 6 hour at Castlemaine instead... Should be at Spookycross though.

Some rear footage from a CX race a few weeks back.
I think Cancan was next to us on the sidelines?

A bit of talk about a gravel grinder race this year out from Helidon. There was a group ride of the possible course on Tuesday which I couldnt make so went out yesterday on the single speed. Will be fun if they go ahead with the race, heaps of climbing, a good mix of different roads (bitumin, gravel, dirt possible mud) and some great views not that you would be stopping for photos in a race but here are some from the day.

I moved to Auckland 3 weeks ago and have had 3 races so far...much different to Brisbane.
first weekend in Auckland and what started as a soft grass track quickly turned to slippery mud....about 40 riders just the 1 grade... the next weekend I was in Wellington and that was mud....fun course and raced B grade which had over 70 competitors...had a puncture just before the start so ended up at the back of the field although came 15th in the end... was heaps of fun...and last weekend was in Hastings...no mud but again a fun course with a few creek crossings. was going to race in hamilton tomorrow but have a busy weekend so will give it a miss and pack the bike for first 2 rounds of NCXS in Brisbane
