I recently moved back to Sydney from London, and looking for some routes where i can take my cyclocross bike out.
The MTB tracks i've tried on a MTB (manly dam etc) are a bit too sketchy for my skills on a cross bike...
Anyone have any suggestions?
I've seen some strava routes around la-perouse, but not much. I've also heard about Lady Carrington drive in Royal National Park... is that suitable?

Lane Cove valley fire trails. Terry Hills fire trails. Kuringai fire trails. Royal NP fire trails. Woronora River fire trails. There are many fire trails!! Even before one considers the Blue mountains, southern highlands and central coast.
Lady Carrington was an unsealed road last time I was on it and it was fine on a roadie!

Ours is not to reason why...merely to point and giggle

Yep, Lady Carrington is just a gravel road. Boring.

We see a few CX bikes at Terrey Hills, although not so much at teh far reaches of Long Trail as it ie quite rocky and I'd imagine pinch flating owuld be a problem.
A mate of mine has a bit of a CX route around North Head that he hits up a few mornings a week with mates.

Off Mona Vale road in Terry Hills, there is a BMX track which is also the location if CX competition, not sure if it is suited fot training though. Generally not the same training opportunities which you mah be used to, you get on road, bike paths or off road which is generally mord for MTB, than cyclocross.

Anyone ridden Bloodwood Road Access Track on a cross bike, its out near Arcadia. Thinking about doing Bobbo, Quarry Trail then out to Bloodwood and back via Berowra waters then Bobbo.
