I'm just reporting the experience. The part I ordered was ~$40 cheaper than everywhere else. I wasn't in a rush. it arrived, well packaged (OEM packaging)battler2 wrote:via RM? no tracking? guess i'll be waiting another week then. i take it you're report a bad experiencejasonc wrote:ribble cycles - free delivery. ordered july 9, arrived July 28.

Ribble is usually at least two weeks delivery time. I never order from them if I need anything in a hurry. They often can't be beaten on pricing, especially for groupsets. I picked up some Schwalbe One tyres from them for less than $40 each a few months ago.battler2 wrote:via RM? no tracking? guess i'll be waiting another week then. i take it you're report a bad experiencejasonc wrote:ribble cycles - free delivery. ordered july 9, arrived July 28.

I went back to Wiggle to browse some more things, and thought I would check on my Zonda wheelset. Saw that they have dropped in price by GBP4.10 since my order less than 1 week ago, so I contacted Wiggle via the online chat, and I was provided with a refund of the diff through Paypal. Really impressed with the fantastic customer service!cyclebee wrote:DHLbiker jk wrote:Was it posted using regular post or DHL?cyclebee wrote:My Zonda wheelset from Wiggle was ordered on Sunday 26/7.

My experience with c r c recently has been the same as this - much slower than Ribble/Wiggle who both deliver consistently within 7days of ordering...jaseyjase wrote:

17/7 - Ordered and dispatched with Trakpak
22/7 - Departed UK
31/7 - Arrived at home
vs Starbike:
17/7 - Placed order, was informed that items were on back order with supplier
22/7 - Order was dispatched
30/7 - Arrived in Australia and handed over to Australia Post
3/8 - Postie turned up at my door
Conclusion: not going to use c r c again unless their prices are ludicrously good.

With free or standard shipping; these are examples of bad experiences? Nor is it really clear on why you wouldn't use c r c again.cameronp wrote:My c r c and Starbike orders finally arrived. Timeline with c r c:

It was free shipping with c r c, and standard international shipping from Starbike via the German postal service. Part of the difference in my attitude is from the claimed shipping time on their website vs reality: Starbike claimed 2-3 weeks shipping and came in slightly 2 weeks (from when the parts were actually dispatched). c r c estimated 1 week shipping and ended up taking two.Top_Bhoy wrote:With free or standard shipping; these are examples of bad experiences? Starbike stocks some parts (dynamo hubs and lights) that are either difficult to get elsewhere or cost twice as much, so the long wait doesn't bother me so much. c r c and Wiggle seem to offer a similar selection at similar prices, with Wiggle shipping taking under a week on the occasions I've ordered from them.

c r c estimates 7-10 working days for delivery. Yours was 10 working days. So as promised.cameronp wrote:It was free shipping with c r c, and standard international shipping from Starbike via the German postal service.
