It's as solid as a rock and very impressive for fifty bucks with free delivery.

And in the tradition of odd safety warnings it says that 'Nobody should try to ride the bicycle when it is mounted on the stand!'
What are the blue clamps made of? Looks awesome for $50, provided those blue bits aren't going to scratch the frame!

That workstand is basically the same one that Aldi sells occasionally. Aldi charges around $70 so thats a great deal. I have one that's 2 years old now and still going great guns.

Blue clamp is hardish plastic. So far no scratches on carbon and steel frames.

I've got two of the Aldi workstands. One was $40, the other was $35. One at work, one at home

Thumbs up to Cell Bikes. Ordered some parts online on Saturday arvo. Rang Cell at 9am this morning to ask if I could add a couple of things to my order without incurring extra freight charge. Guy on the phone (Matthew) was most helpful. All items arrived this arvo. I often order from Cell, and with this service will continue to do so.

Chain Reaction - ordered parts 7.54pm; received email saying order picked and dispatched 11.33pm

Ribble - tried several days to order parts but there was an issue with Paypal, decided to use my CC instead. No order confirmation was sent but finally 6 days later received email saying it was dispatched 27/8. Still not received 13/9.

PBK ordered 16/8 dispatched 17/8 and still waiting to arrive....And yes its the final piece of the new bike puzzle (crankset) - everything else is complete so I have to concur that slow postage seems to happen when you least want it to happen and need it yesterday!

Without wanting to read through all of the posts in this topic, has anyone purchased a wheelset from either Wiggle or Pro Bike Kit to Australia. I'm looking at Campagnolo Bora Ultra 50's and the cheapest I can get locally is ~$3,500 however I can get them online for ~$2,600 - $2,750. Even if I have to pay GST on these, I will still stand to save ~$500. Only downside I can see is if I have a warranty issue, having to ship them back to Europe.

I've just purchased some wheels from pbk yesterday. A tip for them, changing the currency to something other than AUD occasionally reveals much better deals.

As for returns I know wiggle does local returns.

I'm still waiting for my PBK order. It's been 34 days so I have lodged a Paypal claim. Unless they are selling something at a ridiculous price that I don't need for a month or so, I won't be using them anymore!

I just got wheels from them in 8 days. Bit longer than Evans for example but not too bad.

Actually that's good to know yours hasn't arrived either. I bet its on the same boat going via iceland! Yep about 34 days now so the same. I'd ask for a refund as well if I didn't need it to arrive for Around the Bay in a couple of weeks! Not happy and think I will put them on the never again list if it doesn't arrive today or tomorrow.

Edit: I do wonder if doing that currency change to GBP thing to make it a little cheaper has actually affected the postage holdup time. Guess I will never know.

Received an order from Chain Reaction Cycles addressed to my Auspost parcel locker just today - the latest of many.

As it happened, the parcel (a tubeless tyre floor pump) was too long to fit in a parcel locker so I received an email early this morning advising me to collect it over the counter.

Top service - ordered on 10 September (Saturday) and it was dispatched the same day. Arrived today 19 September. Very satisfied with that.

Hmm well now I'm more concerned why my parcel has been returned to sender.....

Well, kind of online...did some reach online to work out prices on a new 11sp DuraAce Cassette & chain, a Garmin cadence sensor and fly12 mount(s) and Co2.

Posted a WTB on Brisbane and Oz wide Bicycle Markets and within an hour I had a new cassette and chain, a back up slightly used cassette, two new Camera mounts and a bunch of Co2. I reckon I saved about $170 bucks over the best deals I can find.

Sweet.

Finally received my tyres from Ribble, just 2 days short of month after ordering.

Also my order from Chain Reaction arrived, just over a week after ordering.

Bought a set of tyres and chain from Merlin Cycles 2 weeks ago.
Purchased: Continentals GP 4 Seasons
Received: Continentals GP 4000S II
They look very similar I must admit but it's not what I wanted so contacted them via email.
Their solutions:
1. Keep tyres and give me AU$30.
2. Send back tyres via economy then email them the receipt. Upon receiving the tyres back, they'll refund me for the postage cost and send out the correct item. This will probably take a month or more.
Needless to say, I'll be making a new order at Wiggle and returning these for a full refund.

I'd take the money, you got better tyres and you got them $30 cheaper.
