First time I've ordered from them, turned up the next day. I had visited the store years ago and they seemed great, looks like their online service is as well.
Worth a look re. cheap Castelli gear. I ordered a set of 'Nanoflex knickers', best price I could find online by far.

Ordered 2/6 Thursday morning.
Arrived 6/6 Monday morning.
This is 2 business days from Ballyclare in UK to Ferntree Gully in Melbourne via Sky Net worldwide express.
Fastest oversea free shipping I have experienced.

Anyone have items sent to their local Bikebug store instead of your house?
Was the ETA longer than you expected?
I assumed it would be quicker as they would use their local stock

I've done that before. No faster as I think they had to transfer stock between stores or from warehouse to store in my case.jaseyjase wrote:Bikebug

It's only quicker if the store has stock of the item, they then pick it locally rather than having it sent from the warehouse. That being said if you're in Sydney, it's probably just cheaper to have it delivered as you'll get it the next day in most cases, same day if you're lucky.Boognoss wrote:I've done that before. I don't believe that's the case. From my experience of being in the shop at North Sydney and online orders showing up, it's entirely separate. The store is just a pick up point, nothing more. So yes, I no long do store pickups either.DG1984 wrote:It's only quicker if the store has stock of the item, they then pick it locally rather than having it sent from the warehouse. I can chime in with Ribble. I have been very happy with them and their customer service.
Latest order was placed Wednesday the 15th close to midnight and was delivered today, Tuesday the 21st around noon. That's about 4 business days or a little less.

I'm just going from what the guy in store told me - he said if they have stock they wont send the item from the warehouse. Defeats the purpose.DaveQB wrote:I don't believe that's the case. That being said, even when ordering products I know are in stock sometimes I've been given them in a courier bag so you're probably right.

Also, adjusted terms, rather than 'not in stock', the items were not in the inventory for other retailers. Technically it may be out of stock, however some online retailers (such as Bike24) have terrible search engines that make it a real pain.

Rang one afternoon desperate for a genuine Fox through MTB axle. (Try and get one anywhere!). The parcel was available the next morning at the local post office. Note left in letterbox before 9:00am.
