And then bought two Dura-ace chains, two cassettes (1 dura and 1 Ultegra so I can see for myself the difference) an undershirt, some chamois cream, 10 tubes & some gels. Saved heaps of money!!!! [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]

Has anyone seen a cheaper way of getting converted (providing of course you have an 11 speed groupset)??

So go to Ribble and buy the Brifters in 1 package and the rest of the Gruppo in another. The Ribble prices are only slightly more if you buy the Groupset as parts, would definitely be cheaper than paying the extra $300 GST.2wheels_mond wrote:Plus GST, adding the 10% back on. Still a decent deal, $300 cheaper than Bikebug (who I think may price match).
(cue people whinging about GST and local companies not being able to compete etc)

I had been looking for a cheap secondhand bike but I am tempted by this new especially if I can haggle the VIP internet discount out of them.

Edit: Don't bother, they seem to have forgotten their own advertising, no sale happening. It's like watching the chimney for Santa then being told that he ain't real ...

Bikebug no longer price match on anything. I sent them a request to price match one of the UK online stores' price on GP4000S tyres and they replied saying they don't do it anymore. So I bought the tyres from UK, Their loss, my gain.jasonc wrote:bikebug will only pricematch on exact configs they sell. when i wanted mid compact 11/28 with internal everything, they didn't sell it. so i bought it from merlin

Yes they used to do it last year and I remembered it was quote easy.Ross wrote:Bikebug no longer price match on anything. Oh well, can't blame them as their prices are good for an Aussie bricks and motar store.

I think it's a case of being so successful that they don't need to price match.li2099 wrote:Yes they used to do it last year and I remembered it was quote easy.Ross wrote:Bikebug no longer price match on anything.
