Yes, at least 200g heavier! You can't beat the Shimano cup and cone bearings for longevity and weather sealing. My Shimano Tiagra 4400 hubs on the cheap wheelset I built are going fine after five years. Cartridge bearings don't compare and are harder to change unless you invest in a bearing press/puller set.
I've got a set of rs80s. The rear is smooooth as, even thought the rim is worn out.

Anyway want to buy RS80 front wheel?

How did you manage to wear out your rear rim before the front?

LOl actually I didn't... the rear has a minute amount left in it and is now relegated to being used on the Minoura trainer, which means the front doesn't get used. I'm unable to see the wear indicator and per the thread on RS80s means its time is up. Shame, because other than a touch of rumble, fixeable by about $12 of parts, its a lovely wheel. Runs true, round and zero flex.

So if anyone wants a cheapo front wheel for rollers or other non-braking required situation, might fit the bill.

You'll have to be quick, but there's a Jamis TT bike up on ebay ending at 1843 EST. Sram Red drivetrain, currently at $750. Wishing I had the cash (and permission) to grab it.

Don't know. Charge $39 for shipping and I don't think they allow pick-up on site. Is shipping price reasonable?

Just wanted to bump this to the top as it might have been missed previously as there was some confusion over the delivery charge. It seems as though it is now fixed, I ordered the stand and added a tube and had the whole thing delivered for ~$55.

Seems fairly sturdy (though I don't have anything to compare it to).

I couldn't be bothered waiting for the Aldi one to come up again so to have this delivered for 50-odd seemed like a pretty good deal...

I just tried it and the delivery cost is $60.50.

It worked when I increased the cart to $56.10 (stand, tube and CO2 cannister).

Compact crankset would be better at that weight.

Oh,I dunno..,not too far from home I can find a nice little 5k climb that averages 11%.Climbers much better than me (I've done it using a 39/26 combo, they've done it 39/27) say next time they're swapping out the 39 for a compact.

Did they have to get off and walk?

Also, let's be realistic, would a beginner even attempt a 5km 11% average climb?

39x27 will get you up nearly all the climbs in SEQ. It wont be pretty but it's doable.
