23mm Contis are a bit on the wide side anyway... Pretty close in width to 25mm Duranos I have.

rims plays a big part in it too. I've got a conti 25mm on 24mm wide U shaped rim and I swear you would almost mistaken it for a 28mm tyre. Looks nothing like the same size tyre on front on a fairly standard size V shaped rim.

23mm on a 23mm rim works for me. 25 on a wide rim is just getting greedy and i think you start reaching diminishing returns on comfort and rr VS weight.

I have HED 25mm rims and they state on their Web site that all their rims are designed to be used with 23mm tyres. . So 23mm it is for me. .. Well for road use
