Yep.

The GP4000s was 35 bucks a tyre from tons of places after the II was announced, but not available. Frugalroleur is your friend. BNA links are a better friend ;)

Yeh, the Pro4race is undercutting the Conti's on the price front

I don't know anyone who uses them now, had a mate who got rid of them because he was flatting every ride. Uncool.

I've had remarkably few flats with Pro3race

750 km on my new set of GP 4Ks II. 1 front pinch flat (AT) 200ish km which is totally my fault.
I have ridden on some glassy roads like M2 and Pacific H-way. While washing the tyres yesterday, I noticed some glass cuts. Some of the cuts with the glasses still in them. None of them have caused any flats which leads to my conclusion that the the puncture protection is somehow working. Both tyres still have the excess rubber in the middle, a good sign that I can get more km on them compared to my Veloflex's and Vitorria Corsas.
Manufacturer weight claim is spot on according to my digital bag scale.
Paired with Vittoria Ultralites, front pressure used is 95-100 while the rear is 100-105 PSI.
The rolling resistance is comparable to the 4 seasons and GP4ks I. Sorry I can't tell the difference between the 3 models.
Grip I think well above average. 20% of the 750 km was ridden on wet roads. Compared to my Veloflex's and Vitorria Corsas, these tyres seems to stick on the road on those abrupt braking.
I'll post more updates as I use them... :D

Anyone else got these yet? Wiggle have got a twin pack of the II's for $93.60 at the moment, contemplating picking a set up. They've got the original 4000S's for $40, however none in 700x25.

I picked one up in store at North Sydney Bike Bug. 700c x 25. Found it hard to fit. Once on and inflated I was surprised at how fat it is. Almost as if my rim is too narrow for it. Fatter than the previous 700c x 25 Michelin Pro Endurance I was running. Rode on it today and honestly it feels the same as the Michelin. No complaints.

Thanks for the feedback.

Looks like prices are starting to come down a little.

Well got a pro 4 endurance on the rear at the moment. Ok so far but only 170 k's on it. If it's any good I'm going to switch to them for a while. They size up a bit smaller in a 23 than the contis, which is good, as my S5 is tight, clearance wise.
Cheaper too :)

Contemplating getting some GP4000s ii in the Reflex option but am unsure how they will go with my matte black ensemble. Anyone who has got them and have some experience/pictures to share?

1700 km now with my GP 4000s II and the rear now have lots of cuts. Two flats, one on the front and one on the rear. I probably need some shoe goo to cover all the cuts. It looks like puncture protection is working so well.
Ridden on M2 (breakdown lane), Old Windsor (breakdown lane), M4 (breakdown lane) just to name a few.

I grabbed a couple of pairs of GP4000s II when PBK had them on special, but haven't fitted them yet. They look to be very similar to the older version, so I'm not too sure what the change was.

I'm still running GP4000s - one set that have done around 2500Km thus far and they are going fairly well. One of them is fairly cut up, also, but still doing the job.

Without causing myself grief, I can safely say that I've done around 8000Km this year - on 2 x GP4000s-shod bikes (combined) - since my last puncture.

cheers

Binned my 4000sII 25c tyres as I was getting flats almost every other ride. Puncture protection is rubbish.

Switched to 4 seasons and loving them.

Also have a soft spot for my wife's tyres.. Marathon supreme 28c

My GP 4000sII 25C tyres have done 2500kms. Not a single puncture. Puncture protection works for me.

2500km is not exactly a long test period. What sort of roads do you ride and at what pressures?

2500km is a hell of a lot more than "almost every other ride". It is for me anyway.
I ride on all kinds of roads and bikeways. Nothing special.
Pressures are 100 in the rear and 80 in the front.

After waiting most of the year, I finally got hold of some 28's.

The measurements vary a tiny bit depending where on the tyre you put the vernier but there's about a 1mm difference.
If drivers and riders spent more time worrying about their responsibilities than their rights then roads would be far safer.

4000km so far on GP4000s II riding on fairly average Adelaide Hills roads (100 psi front and rear). To me they feel a little bit grippier than the old GP4000s (both from new and now at a comparable age). Still susceptible to cuts, but still very good puncture resistance.
