Hi all my propel had a little accident in the shed and is on its way to get an ultra sound to determain damage. If frame is damaged I have 3 options:
1. Repair, depending on cost of course
2. A crash replacement from giant
3. A 2013 sworks venge frameset (silver colour so not the pritiest)
For this discussion we will leave option 1 out and just got with 2 or 3 they are going to cost me the same amount either way. All my other bikes I have owned have been giants (defy 1, defy advanced, tcr sl1 and sl0 and the propel) so I kind of like my giants but there is also something tempting about an sworks.
What's the opinion of the forum?
I know this will open a whole can of worms but I want to see if a switch is worth it.
Propel or venge?

Shite, no good at all mate. For mine, I reckon the Propel would be the better option - having spoken to a couple of blokes who own Venge rides. Nothing wrong with them per se, but neither would purchase one next time - for a multitude of reasons.

I changed from a Giant TCR to a Venge expert and have to say the venge is nothing short of awesome it's noticibly quicker everywhere and am always getting compliments on how awesome this bike looks, I can't talk for the propel but the Venge is very very good.

Specialised- the LITIGATORs- why I wouldn't touch them. Otherwise, I hear lots of good things about the Propels (mainly around value for performance)- not as much about the Venge (but don't here bad things either just nothing special).

Thanks all definitely leaning towards the propel! I am just hoping now that the scan comes back positive so I don't have to think of any of the options!

Not too late my propel has been found to have a small crack in the top tube. If I got a new propel frame I have to hand mine back if I go a venge I still have mine to sell (maybe not for much but can recoup some cost or repair and end up with 2 bikes.
I have asked giant if they will do a better price on the replacement frame due to the above cercumstance will see what they come back with.
